About EG CMS

EG Content Management System is designed so my clients can edit the text portions of their websites with little to no knowledge of HTML or other website development languages, especially if they have worked with other WYSIWG (What You See is What You Get) editors.

Installing EG CMS on a server requires at least an intermediate knowledge of the Apache web server, PHP and SQL. Installation remains cumbersome, but I plan to make it more automated in future releases.

The work on EG CMS goes on. Here are some items that are on the to-do list:

• Continued development of the admin page that includes more options for managing website administrators and levels of security.
• A way to add additional menus.
• A way to set the order of items in submenus
• Improved site search
• Improved friendly URLs
• A file manager for TinyMCE, or recommendations for adding one.
• Improved installation
• Easy way to export website contents
